Editing an Add-On Module

Edit an add-on module to modify any of the following properties:

        Name

        URL

Basic/parameterized status (for details, see Administration: Add-On Modules)

Local/global status (for details, see Administration: Add-On Modules)

Note: If a global add-on module is licensed at any other sites and you change it to a local add-on module, all other sites lose access to it.

To change where (and whether) ad add-on module appears at your site, see Selecting Where an Add-On Module Appears.

To edit an add-on module:

Starting at the administrative Add-On Modules page (How do I get there?), do the following:

1.      In the Action column, click the edit () icon of the add-on module you want to edit. (This icon appears only next to add-on modules created at your site.)

The add-on module's current properties are shown in fields and check boxes.

2.      Edit the add-on module's properties as desired. To change its basic/parameterized and/or local/global status, use the following check boxes:

        Performs a Parameterized Search:

To change the add-on module to basic: Clear this check box.

To change the add-on module to parameterized: Select this check box. In the Parameter Name field that appears, enter the search parameter used by the add-on module's URL.

        Global:

To change the add-on module to local: Clear this check box. This makes the add-on module inaccessible to all other sites.

To change the add-on module to global: Select this check box. This makes the add-on module accessible to all other sites.

3.      Click Save in the lower right.

Your changes to the add-on module are saved.
