Deleting a Universal Conversion Factor

Note: This feature requires at least one of the following modules licensed at your site:

        Chemical Inventory

        Form R Regulatory Reporting

        Tier II Regulatory Reporting

You can delete any universal conversion factor created at your site. Delete a universal conversion factor when it is obsolete or otherwise unwanted.

However, before you delete a universal conversion factor, consider that this will undo every unit-conversion calculation that uses this factor, and therefore might invalidate product quantities.

Note: When you delete either unit of measure converted by a conversion factor, this automatically also deletes the conversion factor. For details on managing units of measure, see Administration: Units of Measure.

To delete a universal conversion factor:

Starting at the administrative Universal Conversion Factors page (How do I get there?), do the following:

In the Action column, click the delete () icon of the conversion factor you want to delete. (This icon appears only next to conversion factors created at your site.)

A message asks for confirmation. If you confirm, the conversion factor is deleted and removed from the Universal Conversion Factors page. Every unit-conversion calculation using this factor is undone.
